Me ex Bank Line 1950 deck Apprentice. What race was deck and engine crew irisbank and where accommodated? Foreward deck houses confuse me,on eskbank/others they on after deck being crew toilet blocks.
Crew were Indian with a Chinese carpenter and they were accommodated aft with all the noise of the steering gear! The deck houses which were a Bank Line hallmark in those days, were sometimes placed on the foredeck and sometimes on the after deck abeam of the main mast.
I remember the Eskbank. Did we ever meet, I wonder? Rgds/Alan
