M.V.Ettrickbank, 1937 built, survived WW2 and served 26 years

One of 4 motorships from Wm Doxford, launched in 1937. Sisters Teesbank and Willowbank were both torpedoed. Sister Eskbank survived and served for 24 years as a Bank Line ‘workhorse’ circling the globe endlessly, and then 6 more for her new owners before going to scrap.

  1. Hi

A bit of a long shot: does anyone know what happened to the log books of the Ettrickbank? She was apparently hove-to south of Tristan in June 1953 when the island was hit by a massive South Atlantic storm?

    Thanks

    Tom
