Comliebank motor ship built in 1924 with twin-screws – pictured a year later in Wallaroo….

The Wallaroo jetty with rails looks familiar because from memory it didn’t look much different 30 years later when the author visited. Note the sailing vessels still plying their trade, almost certainly grain from Wallaroo.

  1. I joined Comliebank JANUUARY 1959 IN ADELAIDE SOUTH AUSTRALIA AS 4th engineer BOUND FOR JAPAN AFTER ,DISCHARGE OF CARGO SHE WENT TO THE . SCRAP YARD MARCH 1959.

  2. Hi. In 1955 on the MV Homer City (Reardon Smith Line) we moored at Port Lincoln jetty. I remember fishing off the jetty but seemed to only catch blowfish. Back then it was a very small but nice port.
