Is it 1937 in Belfast, or 1965 in Sunderland?? The accommodation says it is the earlier one but not 100% sure. Anyone? ( The Union Jack flying could indicate Belfast)
I’d go with Robin’s comments. The Rowan bank, built in ’64, had Wood and Canvas Hatches, but looking at the paining of the Ernebank, and other photos, I’d say ’37 because of of the lookout boxes on the bridge-wings.
From the hatches alone I would say 37 as i’m sure the 65 one had steel McGregor hatches, also the winches look to be steam driven as against electric on the later version!

Thanks Robin. Agree and the bridge wing boxes!

Without a doubt, the Ernebank of 1937. Did a 16 month trip as 3rd Mate on this fine vessel.
