SAILING VESSEL THORNLIEBANK

THORNLIEBANK

The above account is taken from a 1937 Sea Breezes letter, describing how a would- be apprentice missed sailing on an ill fated maiden voyage of the 1886 built THORNLIEBANK, the first vessel built for Andrew Weir.

If it is the same vessel, the account varies from what actually happened.
