BANK LINE’S ” White Ships”

The M.V.s, Isipingo, Incomati, and Inchanga. The Incomati lasted 7 years before being sunk by a submarine off of West Africa. ( 1 dead). The Isipingo and Inchanga survived to carry out the India/Africa passenger service for another 20 years. Life on board was a mixture of normal cargo working combined with passenger carrying involving dances, sedate teas, and an air of comfort and luxury.
